eLAN vs Elite
eLAN RS vs. Elite RS
What are the differences?

There have been numerous inquiries from our customers regarding VES’s two different lines of addressable FACPs (Fire Alarm Control Panels) and how they differ.

The VES flagship eLAN panel has two models; eLAN and eLAN RS. The Elite (e’leet) series (our newest offering) also has two models; Elite and Elite RS.

When the eLAN line was originally designed, VES used the concept of on-line programming as both a differentiation and superior support tool.  VES continues to offer this popular technique.  Our customers over the years have also asked for the flexibility of on-site programming, and in some cases a mixture of each. To this end, VES has placed in the market both the eLAN and Elite offering. Based upon our customer preference, we can offer a superior variety of configuration and programming options.

Based upon our customer preference, we can offer a superior variety of configuration and programming options.

The RS series FACP (the newest addition to our line) is an alternate solution to the full size eLAN or Elite panel which offers a cost effective answer in small to medium installations requiring 1 or 2 SLC loops. The RS series also features support for eNet networking, or VesNet networking, Loop Explorer programming and eSP Discovery programming.

Below is a features chart that will help distinguish the differences between the eLAN and Elite series addressable FACPs:

eMATRIX reduces cost of ownership

The unique design of our eMatrix graphic annunciator panel has proven a hit with not only our customers, but our customer’s customers!

eMatrix offers a tremendous degree of flexibility by design but also allows ease of installation. With ease, the unit may be installed and tested, while the end user is still making up his mind how the annunciator drawing should finally look. As a result there are fewer delays in completion and a lot less frustration between installer and customer.

eMatrix also reduces the cost of installation and ownership compared to other Annunciator panels. There is no connection between the “drawing” and the electronics, also by using Fiber Optic light pipes the LEDs are not mounted through the Acrylic front. These product features allow changes to the drawing at a fraction of the cost of a conventional type Annunciator.

eMatrix also provides ‘functionality flexibility’.  eMatrix is assembled in an enclosure which will match-up to the color of the Fire Alarm Control panel, and an optional flush mount kit is available. Wiring hook up is easy, two data wires and 24v DC and the product is ready to go…no relays or outputs signals to contend with. Programming is simple; zonal operation or customized cause and effects are programmed directly through the Fire Alarm Control Panel to activate the LED’s.  LED’s are available in Red, Green Yellow, or a mixture.  Your Customers graphics can be printed in full color using our large format UV digital printer.  Best of all our prices will beat traditional graphic annunciators and provide greater flexibility.
