What
you may not know…
The
VES addressable heat detector from Apollo
is quite unique in the marketplace. The VF5602
boasts 5 operation modes, spanning 135-200ºF
and options for fixed temperature and/or rate-of-rise
characteristics out of one model number! (see
the chart below). Why stock multiple addressable
heat sensors?
Because the VF5602-00 sensor is also UL
certified for an ambient temperature range
of 32-150ºF, it is able to be used
in places where other heat sensors simply
cannot go. When programmed for modes 4 or
5 (200ºF), the sensor can be placed
in much warmer places than the competition.
Another
great application is facilitated by all
VES control panels’ day/night capabilities
for intelligent detection. For instance,
it would be possible to program a commercial
kitchen heat detector for a “Day”
mode at 200ºF Fixed while the kitchen
is in operation and a “Night”
mode of 135º fixed & rate-of-rise
when the facility is idle.
For
more information on the VF5602-00
sensor, please view the spec
sheet.
